LOVE!!!!!

I think that a lot of people really don't know what "real" love is.  Like true love.  Not that puppy sh*t you were taught when you were in middle school and high school.  Like real love.  Like we don't have the light bill money but babe we going to make it happen love.  That we have to eat bologna sandwiches this week because we can't afford groceries love.  That Katrina hit how we going to rebuild love.  That gunshot wound I'll wipe you ass when you sh*t love.  That UNCONDITIONAL real sh*t.  My parents have been together for 34 years so this is all I know.  This is all I want to know.  I don't want to know another love.  I don't care about another love because to me what they have and everything that they embody is real love.  This to me is the definition of true love.  Mistake after mistake, f**k up after f**k up, they are still standing there.....TOGETHER!  They are still there and there is nothing else they would rather be doing.  There is no one else they want to be with and it's been that way for 34 years.

34 years>>>>>>Right now I'm 25 years old and can not imagine that.  My parents were married 9 years before I was born and were together 5 years before that.  DO THE MATH!  My parents have been faithful and together for the past 40 years of their lives.  40 YEARS with the same person.  That sh*t is down right amazing.  That sh*t in this society today is unheard of.  The divorce rate in America right now is at about 54%.  That means more than 1 of every 2 marriages will fail.  And whose fault is that??? Who knows.  We can blame society enforcing this idea of a perfect relationship??? Is it because others have parents like mine and they misunderstand what this type of perfect relationship is???  Is it because people just urn for a person and tolerate what they do???  All of the answers to those questions are YES!  I think our natural need for acceptance by the opposite sex as humans causes us to gravitate to this thing called a relationship.

As men I think that we are scared of love.  We are not like women by any means.  We are hunters and aggressors by nature.  Not human nature but mother nature.  The male of EVERY single species are the aggressive ones.  We are the ones that go out and hunt. We are the ones whose purpose it is suppose to be to provide for the family.  THIS IS OUR JOB MEN!!!!!  Bottom line this is our job.  It is our job at the end of the day if nothing else can happen we must make it happen.  With this being said it doesn't give us as men the right to abuse this right.  Thinking that we can just do anything to women because of the fact that we provide for them.  There should be a mutual respect and trust.  Trust is something that can be easily broken and takes a minute to get back.  The fact of the matter is that as men it is our nature to f**k up.  It is in our nature to!
